Applemoon Interiors

I really wanted to share with you, my day I had last week at Applemoon Interiors. My sister in law saw on groupon, a voucher for a Curtain Making course, so as you can imagine I jumped at the chance !

As soon as I arrived I knew it would be a lovely day ! Kim, the lady taking the class was so welcoming, so we felt right at home - I could so totally move in !

The workshop is held in the most peaceful setting in a gorgeous little barn.

Look how gorgeous everything looks ! There was material everywhere and gorgeousness all around !

There was even free flowing tea and coffee and biccys throughout the day.

Kim started by talking us through the different types of curtains and finishes and how to measure your window ! We then got to start on our own mini curtain !

Kim is so lovely and helpful and she was really good at showing us what to do ! She didn't even mind when I had to be shown twice !

So off we went... I have to say, I didn't know there was so much hand sewing in making curtains, so that was a nice new challenge for me but I think I did OK!

We had a lovely spread for lunch including some gorgeous little cakes and more tea !

Annnnd.... here is my finished curtain, impressed? I was !! Look - it has ruffles and everything !

So, if you would like to find out more visit the website here and check out Kims Facebook page & Twitter here ! All her workshops are listed on the website.

I can't recommend them enough - and I will be booking on my next one very soon ! Thinking cushions with zips next !

Thanks Kim x

Really Lovely Review - Deliciously Ella

Oh my gosh, I think I may have fallen in love with Ella a little bit, she's gorgeous and SO passionate about healthy eating !

I am totally a chocolate & crisps kind of girl, but reading more and more of Ellas blog, I feel a change coming...slowly but surely I must add, it can't happen overnight - but I do understand the importance now of what you put in your body and how good it makes you feel !

The first thing I have tried is the smoothies, I started off with fruity ones and tried my 1st green one today - and boy was it yummy ! (you totally can't taste the spinach!)

Another thing I tried (and am TOTALLY addicted to) are these amazing raw coconut & cacao truffles. oh em gee.

How can something that's good for you taste so delicious ?

Now I will be honest, it took a couple of mouthfuls to kind of get used to them, but boy are they yummy, and filling and sooo good for you !

Ooh and this double chocolate brownie cheesecake !! DELISH.

So, if your vegan or not, or healthy or not... go and check out Ellas website and Instagram and I challenge you not to feel healthier & inspired ! x

Rose Bookmark Paperclips

Again using the gorgeous rose cabochons I made these lovely little paperclip bookmarks.
You could use them for all sorts of gorgeous crafts - like the pegs, hold on a gift tag or keep your papwerwork together!
I chose a paperclip the same colour and cut a little piece of felt the same size as the cabochon and on the back and superglued them in place.
OOh they are so pretty ! x

Mini Mint Choc Loaf

OK, so some of you may know I am on a bit of a health kick, so I promise you, these weren't for me !
We had my Grandparents visit this week so I thought I'd rustle them up a little something and to be honest with you, I had just bought these cute little loaf cases from Waitrose and had some spare cake mix from the cake pops I had been making, so I thought these were perfect.
So super easy mini mint choc loafs....
For the cake recipe I used the same weight of 2 eggs as caster sugar, self raising flour and un salted butter along with a tbsp of cocoa powder !
Fill the cases half full.
Now here comes the super easy bit - the mint glaze icing for the top ! I had never tried this before but I just mixed icing sugar with water to make a simple icing - and added more cocoa powder and voila ! Ooh and then a couple of drops of peppermint essence. I then added some essence to some of the white icing and drizzled it over the top !
I really love these little cases and the cakes went down very well too (OK I did try one little mouth full!) !
Do let me know if you try some please, I'd love to hear from you !
Enjoy x

Motivate on a Monday

OK, so I have just weighed myself and I've put on one pound ! How has that happened?

BUT I am not going to be discouraged, because I know the body is a funny thing, i'll just keep going as I really have already noticed a difference and am feeling much better in myself!

So, a few things that helped me this week:

So the first is something I haven't really ever done, I've tried them once or twice, because come on - they are a pain to clean up after - BUT think of all the goodness they provide you !! So this week I have tried 2 homemade smoothies, the first was brown and a bit earthy, so next I went for a nice banana and berries ! Yummy ! Don't forget to serve it in a nice jar with a lovely straw ! OOh and drink outside in the sunshine for even more loveliness !
Oooh and Follow the lovely Ella on Twitter for lots of smoothie yumminess !
Enjoy x

Next, I visited a health food shop this week and picked up a few things that I had seen people adding to their smoothies and thought I'd try them myself ! Once I've found out what everything actually does - I'll fill you in on the benefits ! I just felt healthier buying them, ooh and the market was on so I stocked up on loads of fruit and veg really cheap !

Lastly and really importantly - treat yourself !! To your favourite flowers for example - something that's not edible ! ;)
I have been wanting some of these gorgeous pink peonies for way over a year now and I can't get enough of them ! I just sat staring at them the whole way home in the car and I've taken a million photos - sorry to those who follow me on Instagram - I haven't finished yet !
Anyway, the idea is to find other treats that make you smile and reward yourself for your hard work !

Good luck for this week anyone who is trying to be healthy ! Don't be put off if you don't see a difference on the scales ! It IS working and making a difference to your health in the long term !

Ooh and enjoy !! x
