Candy Cane Meringue Kisses

Happy Monday !

Now who wants something yummy with their morning coffee?

These were my favourite thing I have made so far I think.... they tasted delicious and looked pretty impressive too. I bagged some up for presents and ...ahem, ate quite a few myself !

I just followed my previous post for meringue kisses and made a few changes.

I used peppermint essence, just a few drops added to the mixture and added a few drops of red food colouring to the piping bags before adding the mixture to them, this gave the red stripe effect.

Once dry I dipped them in white chocolate and then sprinkled some crushed candy canes on them.

I really recommend trying these (they don't just have to be for Christmas - who has left over candy canes from the tree?!!) they really are delicious !!

Let me know if you try them and enjoy ! x

  1. I never find time to potter about in the kitchen and make goodies like these, I wish I lived next door to you so I could pop round for a cuppa and a treat! Maybe when my youngest starts nursery I will start trying all your recipes, I'd quite like to be a domestic goddess in a pinny :)

  2. Having decorated the tree with many candy canes and forgotten they were edible until being left with loads left over, this is such a great idea to use up left over christmas candy :D I'll be sure to try these soon , they look great:)
