Christmas Smoothie

I am SO excited about this delicious smoothie... who else is totally in the Christmas spirit now ?

Before I share this recipe though I have to say - the Vitamix is THE most amazing product I have ever used. I have had blenders and even the Kitchen Aid blender in the past but this is absolutely amazing. I know they are expensive and not everyone can afford, I will have to save up to buy one (I am just borrowing this one) but they are TOTALLY worth it in my opinion.

The one I have has settings for making smoothies, iced desserts & hot soups, so you just need to switch it on and leave it to do it's thing and it switches off when it's done with that particular setting. How amazing is that!

I have smoothies every day so this really is a life changer for me. I know it sounds silly, but when you have spent the last few months having lumpy smoothies, a smooth smoothie is just. so. wonderful.

So anyway on to my Christmas smoothie, what you'll need is:

Makes a bit more than one serving so you can go back for seconds - you'll want to !

2 cups milk of choice - I use almond milk
A banana
tbsp Almond Butter
Satsuma
2 Medjool Dates
1/4 cup raisins
1/4 cup sultanas
1/4 tsp Mixed Spice
1/4 tsp Cinnamon & more for sprinkling on top (be careful with the spice and can alter depending on how spicy you like it!)

All you need to do is pop all the ingredients in the blender and blend !

I put mine on the smoothie setting and it goes quite fast and blends for about 60 seconds.

Pop it in a glass with a christmas straw with some ice & enjoy !

It's soooo delicious !! Tastes just like christmas... or a mince pie ! YUM x

I hope you are all enjoy the festivities & do check out my Christmas Bucket List to tick off all the lovely things you are doing ! Let me know in the comments what you've been up to !

Merry Christmas ! x

*This is not a sponsored post but I have been sent a Vitamix to trial - all opinions are my own !
